Multi-Tone Composite Deck Structural Overhaul

This comprehensive outdoor living project involved the total demolition and rebuild of a large deck structure, including a significant layout change. The project began by replacing the compromised framing and deck boards with all-new concrete support footings, 6×6 posts, and robust floor joist framing. The final design features premium, high-performance TimberTech/Azek composite decking in a sophisticated two-color scheme: Coastline and Dark Hickory. Key design elements include a perimeter detail in the accent color, a functional drink ledge, and a top rail board matching the accent color. To eliminate noticeable expansion joints, a double accent color was used strategically in the main deck area. The railing system is composed of white vinyl with black aluminum baluster infill for a modern, high-contrast look. The lower portion and stair risers were neatly enclosed using white Azek sheets, creating clean sightlines and deterring wildlife.
