Laundry & Family Room Addition with Herringbone Floors

This addition expanded the home’s first floor with a dedicated laundry and family room. The project began with a conditioned crawl space to house ductwork and mechanicals, ensuring comfort and efficiency. Engineered I-joists and 2×6 insulated walls provided strength and energy performance, while Simonton windows brought in natural light. Inside, we opened the back wall to create a large gathering space and installed herringbone-patterned flooring, a spacious island in the kitchen, and upgraded finishes throughout.
